This course is designed to help you draw a kitchen quickly and accurately in Autocad. Especially for interior designers, you will learn how to use this widely used software, as well as how to document an entire kitchen drawing package to industry standards for construction.
You will set up pages, layers, dimension and text styles that you can then apply immediately to your design projects in your business practice.

Creating a drawing package for kitchen projects is an essential skill for professional interior designers that communicates the design to your client and enables the builder/cabinetmaker to provide accurate quotes and then for construction.
When you are able to communicate your design clearly using industry drawing conventions (such as symbols, text and dimensions) you can help to ensure that the drawing is unambiguous and relatively easy to understand. It’s all there in black and white, which means less costly ‘surprises’ on site.

Unfortunately no, our Autocad Foundations Course would be the best starting point for you!

  • Do I need any qualifications to do this course?

There are no prerequisites to the course, however it is aimed to assist interior designers and not the homeowner. So knowledge of reading floorplans is beneficial. You will also know how to download and save files. Just that kind of thing. But we are also happy to help with that stuff too
